We worked Hey Day Baby on Monday morning (see video), and we could not have been more pleased with how she went. She looks great, and this is the best we’ve had her since she got here.

Hopefully she’s now fully over all the little niggles she’s had and we can crack on without any more interruptions.

We’d want to give her a couple more weeks of work like this gallop before we look for her debut run. Even though she’s very much going the right way now, it’s important with a young mare not to push her too much too soon.

But we like what we’re seeing, she’s got a lovely attitude and moves well in her faster work, so we’re very much moving in the right direction.
