WATCH: 'Very encouraging' signs as Hey Day Baby schools over fences in preparation for her chase debut next week
As a point-to-point winner we always planned to go chasing with her, but it’s still been really exciting to see how she’s taken to it, albeit this is at home, and the real test will come when we ask her to do it on the track.
Like I say though, the early signs are very encouraging, and so we can now look forward to her chasing debut. We’re keen to give her a few options, and then pick what will hopefully be the easiest option, on paper at least.
That being said, we've entered her at Newton Abbot over two and a half miles next Wednesday (29th May), and we’ll give her entries in races over the same distance and over three miles at Warwick next Thursday (30th May) and Worcester on Saturday 1st June.
All three are nice tracks to start a novice off over fences, and hopefully wherever we choose to go, she will enjoy it like she has been on the schooling grounds at Jackdaws.
