Katalyst had a slightly longer journey to her debut than most racehorses will at the start of their careers, following a minor hiccup at Newbury on her intended first start which led to her withdrawal from the race. 

After that, additional stalls training was carried out by the team at Linkslade Stables before Katalyst headed to Windsor for an official stalls test, of which she had to pass to then be eligible to race again. Fortunately, she passed that trial with flying colours and her debut date was set for August 14th at Chepstow in a Class 5 maiden fillies' race over six furlongs.
