Waiting game for Katalyst as Chris Grassick looks for the right opportunity to get her off the mark
We've been looking for the right opportunity for her, as it would be nice to get a win on the board while she's a two-year-old. Obviously time is running out for that, with January 1st approaching when she will turn three.
We have entered her at Lingfield next Monday, in a fillies' novice over a mile, but I should stress we will wait until final declaration time before we decide whether to run or not due to the initial entries looking quite deep for the grade. However, it could cut up in which case we'd take our chance, so it will be a bit of a waiting game unfortunately.
If we don't go to Lingfield next week, there are other potential races over the Christmas period including one at Southwell on the 19th, or we could wait until January 3rd for a restricted maiden back at Lingfield.
She would be three then, but the most important thing is to find a race she can win and a New Year winner would be a great way to start 2026!
