WATCH: First glimpse of Katalyst in action on the gallops as she prepares for her debut

02 Jun 2025
Katalyst did a really good piece of work this morning, as you can see on the far side of the video above, and having seen that I'd say she's about two weeks away from being fully fit and ready to race.

Obviously it's Royal Ascot in two weeks time, so we might look at sending her out for her debut the week after that. There's a race over six furlongs on the 24th June at Newbury that would be a really good starting point for her at a nice flat track that isn't far away from our yard.

It might be a little bit more competitive than some other Restricted Races at this time of year, but with the proximity of Newbury to our stables in Lambourn, it should prove to be a good learning experience for Katalyst on her first start.

With it being three weeks away, it'll also give us time to get a few more gallops into her and make sure that she's comfortable in the stalls and able to break from them quickly.

Everything is ticking away nicely with Katalyst at our end and we're really looking forward to getting her out on track for the Coral Racing Club!
