Lady Mendoza has been declared a Non-Runner due to the heavy rain and subsequent soft ground. She will now be aimed at the Uttoxeter in the 14:10 Handicap Hurdle on Friday 26th July.

Lady Mendoza has been declared to race in the Class 4 Handicap Hurdle (15:20) over three miles, one and a half furlongs at Cartmel on Monday.

She stepped down in trip at Perth last time out, and showed that she was capable of keeping up over a shorter distance, and led for a significant period of the race before fading in the run in. Rebecca Menzies has chosen to step her back up in trip this time, as we have seen her run over this course and distance in creditable fashion previously. 

Nathan Moscrop has been booked to ride once again, and having ridden her in six of her previous races, their relationship is excellent. The ground is currently marked as good, and the rain should stay away for long enough for the underfoot conditions to remain that way for the contest.
