Musselburgh target for Lady Mendoza – latest from Rebecca Menzies

Lady Mendoza

It’s been a frustrating, not to mention wet, winter for us as far as Lady Mendoza is concerned.

We’ve not been able to get her back on the track since she finished second at Musselburgh in late November, but she’s going really well at home, and had another good gallop on Wednesday. She’s been ready to go for a while, but with all the rain we’ve just not been able to find her some decent ground.

I’m looking at taking her back to Musselburgh on Friday 6th April. We know she goes well there and given a dry-ish week, the going will hopefully be OK for her.

It’s a 0 – 100 handicap hurdle over two and a half miles, and she should be really competitive in such a contest, so let’s just pray for that dry week!
