Phoenix Of Dreams entered for potential debut on Friday – plus latest Owner for the Day competition

Phoenix Of Dreams
We're delighted to report that the club's John Quinn-trained Phoenix Of Dreams has been entered for his potential debut in this Friday's 16:15 EBF Novice Stakes at Newcastle (AW).

The news comes off the back of last week's update when John Quinn told us that the two-year-old had been really pleasing him at home in his recent work, and that it was only a matter of time before he'd be ready for his debut run.

The entry is especially exciting news for his already selected Owners for the Day who were the winners from the 'Name Your Horse with John Quinn' competition we ran earlier in the year, but there are still three spaces available.

Phoenix Of Dreams is out of Irish 2000 Guineas winner Phoenix Of Spain who was a 52,000gns purchase at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale in May this year. He impressed the team at the breeze ups that day, but he's taken a little while to come to the fore whilst settling in at Highfield Stable after a couple of small setbacks.

The race on Friday is over seven furlongs, and depending how that goes will likely determine whether he stays at that trip or steps up to a mile next time out.

Join us on Wednesday afternoon for the latest update following official declarations.
