Phoenix Of Dreams is a five-year-old bay gelding by Phoenix Of Spain out of the Oasis Dream mare Dreaming Of Rubies and is trained by John and Sean Quinn.

Phoenix Of Dreams has an attractive blend of speed and class in his pedigree. Phoenix Of Spain was a high-class miler whose finest hour came when defeating Too Darn Hot in the Irish 2,000 Guineas while Dreaming Of Rubies brings the influence of outstanding sprinter and hugely successful sire Oasis Dream on the dam side.

We bought Phoenix Of Dreams at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale in May 2023 and he has developed into a wonderfully genuine and consistent racehorse. Rarely far away during the early stages of his career, Phoenix Of Dreams finished in the first three on four of his first five starts before getting his head in front for the first time at Redcar in October 2024.

As Phoenix Of Dreams has matured, he has gradually found his feet over seven furlongs and recorded his second career victory over that trip at Newcastle in March 2026. It was a proper battle, with our star performer prevailing by a short head and showing exactly the sort of grit and willingness that has made him such a likeable horse to have in the Coral Racing Club stable.

His consistency through the first part of 2026 was testament to his genuine attitude, with a win and three third-place finishes before he was given a well-earned break.

His return to the track proved well worth the wait! Phoenix Of Dreams produced another tremendous performance at Kempton on 9 October, digging deep to claim his third career victory by a neck over seven furlongs. It was another wonderful example of his battling qualities and a fantastic result for everyone involved with him.

His latest outing came at Redcar on 26 October, taking his career tally to 25 starts. With three victories to his name and plenty of racing experience under his belt, Phoenix Of Dreams has established himself as a thoroughly likeable and dependable member of the Coral Racing Club team.

The whole team are hugely fond of Phoenix Of Dreams and it is easy to understand why. He has heart, character and a wonderful willingness to give his best. His latest victory was another reminder of just what a special horse he is to have in the Club and we are looking forwards to seeing what more this lovely gelding can achieve.
