Phoenix Of Dreams in "super order" at home as he awaits suitable ground for return race
Phoenix Of Dreams really is in super order at home at the moment, and we are desperate to get him onto the track while he seems in such good form.
Sadly, the weather isn’t really on our side at the moment, and it’s typical that when we want some proper rain, it doesn’t really seem to be coming. We had him in a race at Pontefract this week, but there just wasn’t enough rain in the forecast, and the good to firm ground just wouldn’t have been to his liking at all.
We have him entered in a restricted maiden over seven furlongs at Redcar on Saturday which would be the ideal race to be able to run him in, but frustratingly the ground there is also good to firm, and while there is some rain in the forecast over the next 48 hours, we’ll just have to wait to see if there’s enough to properly get into the ground.
As I say, we are so happy with where we are with him at the moment, we just need to find a suitable race with some cut in the ground, so hopefully they have a wet couple of days up at Redcar and we can head there at the weekend.
