WATCH: Sean Quinn and Jason Hart discuss Phoenix Of Dreams ahead of his return for the 2025 Flat season
The last update that came from Highfield Stables was just after the turn of the year when Sean Quinn informed us that Phoenix Of Dreams had been given his first day back out on the horse walker following his winter break.
Since then he's been continuing to build up his fitness with regular canters and gallops, and now with the 2025 Flat season right around the corner, he could be getting lined up for an early return as soon as next month.
Here's what Sean had to say when we spoke to him at the end of last week:
'Phoenix Of Dreams is training well and is nicely forward. We like to get our horses in as early as possible ahead of the season to ensure they are ready to go.
We're excited for the turf Flat campaign with him, and we already have a couple of races in mind.
The first comes on the Saturday 5th April (Grand National Day) at Yarmouth which is a six furlong contest for horses rated 61-80. If we decide we just need a little more time, the other option is later in the month on Saturday 26th April at Doncaster, and that’s also a six furlong race but for horses rated 69-88.
The sun looks set to shine now, and that will help the coats of our horses. It is always a great time of the year, and let’s hope it can be a successful season.'
Be sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming Owner for the Day competition for your chance to head to the races as one of Phoenix Of Dreams' owners for his seasonal return, and don't forget to check out our latest video with Sean and Jason to get more of their thoughts on our exciting four-year-old sprinter ahead of his upcoming campaign.
