Phoenix Of Dreams back on the gallops following minor injury

14 Oct 2024
In our last update, we explained how Phoenix Of Dreams had injured himself at home, it wasn’t a serious setback, but the flap of skin that he cut just took a little bit of time to knit back together.

It’s healed nicely now, and he was back cantering in the barn last week, and this week he’ll be back on the gallops and we can step his work up again.

The timing of the injury was frustrating, we’re obviously approaching the end of the turf flat season, and before this happened, we were looking to run him again around now. There is still time for us to find an opportunity on turf, but if time beats us on that, I wouldn’t be at all concerned about running him on the all-weather.

He ran well at Southwell two runs ago, and because you’ve been patient with this fellow, he doesn’t have a lot of miles on the clock, so I think we can keep him going over the winter. We’ll get him back to full fitness at home, and whether it’s on turf or the all-weather, he should be back on track soon.
