Rockstar Icon just had a slight setback this week when he spread a plate. This is when a horse loses one of its shoes when its moving at faster paces.

It’s a fairly common occurrence and nothing serious, but it can just leave slight bruising to the foot, and that’s what happened here.

The bruising will heal in a couple of days, and the good news is he was fit and well before this happened, so we’re not going to lose more than a couple of days with him.

We’ll give him an easy rest of the week, and then work him properly again early next week, after which we should be able to look for a race for him, so within the next two to three weeks he’ll be back on the racecourse.
