Aspire To Glory heads to Brighton this afternoon for the Class 6 Classified Stakes over one mile (15:00).

Our smart five-year-old Aspire To Glory is back in action this afternoon as he lines up in the 15:00 at Brighton and the team are looking forward to seeing him build on another encouraging week at home.

He showed plenty of enthusiasm at Yarmouth on Sunday and travelled into the race well enough before not quite finishing as we had hoped. Thankfully, he has come out of that run in terrific order and has continued to please the team, giving every indication that he remains in great form.

Today's race brings an exciting change, with first-time blinkers fitted in the hope of helping him concentrate that little bit more when the pressure is on. Combined with the booking of top international jockey Suraj Narredu, we're excited to see what the pair can produce around Brighton's unique track.

This looks another competitive Class 6 Classified Stakes but there is plenty to like about Aspire's chances if everything clicks.

Rovinia sets the standard on recent form after two runner-up finishes and is likely to be the one they all have to beat. River Wharfe also arrives in good heart following a return to form, whilst experienced campaigner Rainbow Sign has the back class to make his presence felt if bouncing back to his best.

The remainder of the field look closely matched. First Encounter is trying to rediscover his best form after showing promise on the all-weather, whilst Celebrating Ethel, Sangara, Rock Master and Skyolaire all have ability but still have questions to answer. It means there should be very little between a number of these runners and a step forward from Aspire To Glory could just make him a serious contender.

Our lovely boy continues to catch the eye at home and everyone is hoping that today's combination of first-time blinkers, Suraj and another opportunity in classified company will allow him to show exactly what we know he is capable of.
