Aspire To Glory heads to Yarmouth this afternoon for the Class 6 Classified Stakes over seven furlongs (15:38).

Aspire To Glory makes his sixth appearance of the year at Yarmouth this afternoon, in his second Classified race in a row. Our five-year-old has been slowly but surely getting back to his best in recent times, showing far more promise in every run this season. Although the results on the face of things don't necessarily show an improvement in form, the signs on the course are far more encouraging, and he hasn't been beaten too far in his last couple of contests. When we last caught up with Dylan Cunha, he was encouraged by Aspire to Glory's recent runs and believes that he's on his way back up, and that he should be back to his best in the coming months, hopefully adding more wins to his tally of six. 

It's a small field at Yarmouth today, with Aspire To Glory lining up alongside five rivals. Brighton specialist, Oh So Audacious, has won four times leading into the race, with only his most recent win coming over today's distance (at Brighton almost a year ago) and is the only horse in the field other than Aspire to Glory to actually win a race. Valsharah is the most experienced of our gelding's rivals today, racing 28 times before today without a win to his name, whilst the lowest rated horse in the race, Girls Allowed, has only raced five times to date.

The going at Yarmouth is unsurprisingly set to be good to firm given the warm weather that the UK is experiencing at the moment and it also matches the conditions of Aspire To Glory's previous two runs on the turf. Our six-time winner has been drawn relatively wide in stall five today, which should give him a little bit of room to breath coming out of the gates, although we know that he'll likely be ridden to lead early in the race, as has been the case for the majority of his recent runs. Tom Marquand will take the reins on Aspire To Glory this afternoon, in what is certainly an eye-catching booking and hopefully the experienced pilot will be able to guide Aspire To Glory to his first win of 2026.
