Our exciting two-year-old filly, Greek Symphony, is back in action at Leicester this afternoon and she heads into the race with confidence high after getting off the mark last time out.

With form figures of 321, she has taken a step forward with every visit to the racecourse so far. She built on two very encouraging opening efforts to land a well deserved first victory on her latest start and today she gets the chance to show us what she can do on her handicap debut.

Greek Symphony has plenty of quality in her pedigree too. By Sergei Prokofiev and out of Chloris, she is a half-sister to winners Indigo Dream and Royal Elusion, adding further substance to the exciting profile that this filly is already building on the track.

Mason Paetel takes the ride this afternoon and his valuable 5lb claim brings Greek Symphony’s effective weight down from 9st 11lb to 9st 6lb. She lines up from an opening mark of 72 and with that first victory under her belt, there is plenty to look forward to as she takes another step forward.

It may be a small field but there are some interesting rivals standing in her way. Love Rome has been handed a mark of 75 for his handicap debut, whilst Bayside is already a winner and brings plenty of experience into the race with five runs under her belt.

Jazzy Bay has been knocking firmly on the door, finishing third on each of his last three starts and Katie’s Cavalier has had a couple of fourth-place finishes amongst his recent efforts. Better Nature completes the six-runner line-up and also makes his handicap debut after three starts.

There is plenty of potential amongst the opposition but Greek Symphony brings one of the most progressive profiles into the race. Three starts, three steps forward and now a first victory on the board – this afternoon’s run is another chance to see just how much more our smart youngster has to offer.

She continues to learn with every appearance and has already given us plenty to be thrilled about. With a first win now firmly under her belt, all eyes are on Leicester to see if our progressive filly can raise the bar once again.
