Rockstar Icon returns to Wolverhampton again this evening as he goes in search of his second win for the club in Division I of the Class 6 Handicap (18:00) over seven furlongs.

Rockstar Icon returns to Wolverhampton tonight in search of his second victory for the club, after running a solid race to finish third over an experimental six furlongs here last time out. Having started well and being in touch with the leaders, he began to fade in the closing stages of the race before rallying strongly to take third from Coast in the final moments.
Having ran well at Wolverhampton last time out, Oliver Cole was keen to return to Dunstall Park whilst looking to return Rockstar Icon to seven furlongs. Eight of his 14 career starts have been over the 7f trip, including his only win for the club so far and his best effort to date in terms of Racing Post Ratings (RPR) which came at Newmarket in May last year, so hopefully he'll appreciate the step back up in trip this evening.

Today's contest contains some runners of interest, including as many as three previous course and distance winners in Ravenglass and Embarked who are the two outsiders in the field, as well as Good Karma who sits prominently in the betting having scored four starts ago. Rockstar Icon is one of three other winners over seven furlongs in today's race, with Bomb Squad having scored at Wolverhampton as well as over this distance.
Today will be Rockstar Icon's third time running on a Tapeta surface having had races at both Wolverhampton and Southwell already this year. He's been drawn in the middle of the bunch in stall seven, which should provide him with some good cover in the early stages of the race.

Rockstar Icon got back on track with a good effort in defeat over 6f here last time and will be suited by the return to a longer trip here having been outpaced before sticking to his task.
Dropped another 2lbs for that run, he's undeniably well handicapped now and should have a solid each-way chance. Vizzavona Lady is unexposed and ran well on handicap debut when last seen but that was back in April and there has to be a chance she's in need of the run here. Good Karma and Bomb Squad come into the race in form and should be competitive but neither appeal as especially well-treated so a bigger threat could be posed by Rock Master who has his first start for a new stable here and should be monitored in the market.
Trainer and Jockey Statistics
Oliver Cole had to go to France to find his only winner in the last fortnight, which came in a two-year-old race at Deauville last Thursday. The Oxfordshire based trainer is yet to train a winner at Wolverhampton this season, having only had two runners at the course prior to today, with one finishing second on top of Rockstar Icon's third last time out.
Hollie Doyle has scored five times in the last two weeks, including a winner at Dundalk on Friday night. She finds plenty of success at Wolverhampton, with 148 career victories coming at Dunstall Park and 21 of those arriving this season. Doyle is also set to ride her first horse under the tutelage of Oliver Cole, having not ridden for the trainer since he took sole control of Whatcombe Stables earlier this year.
