Raceday Preview
After unfortunately unseating his rider at Beverley last time out, Conservative is back out today to run over 1m4f for the first time in his career.
It's his first trip to Newmarket, and we're hopeful that the long home straight can play to his strength of being an out and out galloper who always gives everything he's got all the way to the finish line.
Jockey Tom Queally, best known for his famous partnership with Frankel, is booked to ride for the first time today as well. Tom has ridden over 80 winners at Newmarket throughout his career, with 43 of those being on the July course.

Since the Beverley incident, Conservative has been working at home with a visor to see if it can have a positive impact. Visors are similar to blinkers in the way they help a horse to focus their vision, however visors have a slit in them, which just allows a horse to see other racehorses to give them that reassurance.
Racing Post Verdict
The 3yo WHATACRACKER improved again when upped to 1m2f and runner-up to a well-handicapped winner at Ayr last time, and he promises to be suited by 1m4f. He earns the vote ahead of fellow 3yo Allo Al Khawaneej who is a possible improver in first-time cheekpieces on his handicap debut. The unexposed Newbury winner Dashing Panther is next on the list.
