WATCH: Two all-weather targets on the radar for Cast No Shadow who is in 'frustratingly good form' at home
Cast No Shadow was last seen at the end of June winning at Newcastle, which took his record to 2-10 since making his debut last summer. Following his maiden victory at the beginning of March, Cast No Shadow was gelded and then given some time off to recover and get back to full fitness.
After this year's flat season got underway, he ran him twice on the turf at Windsor and Catterick, but it was clear to see he just wasn't the same horse compared to what he'd shown on the all-weather, and that lead to Hugo making a decision to re-direct his plans to focus on races on synthetic tracks.
Hugo entered Cast No Shadow in the recent Racing League meetings at Newcastle and Southwell, but unfortunately he wasn't chosen my Team North's Manager, Mick Quinn. According to Hugo, our three-year-old gelding has been in "frustratingly good form" at home but it's just a case of having to be patient and wait for the right opportunity on the all-weather.
