I decided against running Conservative at Wolverhampton on Friday as he blew really hard following a tough session on Tuesday.

I was pleased with what he produced in his work, but I just don’t quite think he is match-fit yet. Conservative is a horse that needs to be kept up with his work otherwise his fitness suffers for it.

The good news is, he is fine post-gallop, and I am sure it won’t be long before he is back to peak fitness again.
