Joe Tizzard outlines two options for Conservative's stable debut after settling well into his new home
He was a fit horse when he came here, so we’ve just had to keep him going, getting him used to a change of scenery was more important than getting him fit, and we’re very happy where we are with him now.
Although we’ll school him over hurdles in time, we have a dual-purpose licence and so we’ll run this fellow on the flat to start with. He has really caught my eye in his recent work, so I think we can look to make entries for him.
He’s run over trips from a mile to a mile and a half, and I reckon towards the top end of that distance is what he wants, so we’re looking at a race over 1m3f at Bath next Friday (19th April) and a race at Windsor over the same trip on Monday 22nd April. We’ll put him in both and decide nearer the time, but we’re excited to get him going again.
