After what has been a challenging couple of months, Conservative moved back to Southwell this morning.

I think he has enjoyed himself at Wolverhampton, but as they say, “there is no place like home”.

I am going to work him this week back on the Southwell track, and I have a race there in mind for him on the 21st of December. He will be stepping down in distance to 1m3f in a 0-65 handicap contest. I am hoping the extra distance will help.

With a couple of setbacks and the flooding at Southwell, things haven’t quite worked out for Conservative so far this year. Let’s hope he can end 2023 on a high with victory next week.

Congratulations to Alice Haynes and everybody at the Coral Racing Club for Aspire To Glory’s win at Kempton yesterday. I was delighted to see the Coral Racing Club colours carried to success.
