Conservative has had a good week in training. As I had mentioned previously, he was a little sore after his run at Doncaster, but he is fully over that now.

I’ve been impressed with each workout he has done over the last seven days, as has Kat, his regular rider. He is galloping right to the line when we work him on the track.

I think his next outing is most likely to be on the all-weather, however, I am not ruling another run on turf as the ground is drying out now. If we don’t get any rain over the next couple of weeks, it could be perfect ground for him.

The one advantage we will have on turf is that he will be much fitter than many of his rivals, as he has been on the go throughout the winter.

I’m looking at the fixtures every morning, and I will of course update you should I find the right opportunity.
