Conservative set to miss Huntingdon after showing up lame this morning – latest from David Stevens

25 May 2024
Conservative
Trainer Joe Tizzard has today made the decision to not declare the club's five-year-old for his intended hurdles debut at Huntingdon on Monday after showing up lame this morning.

The good news is that it's nothing too serious, simply a case of some muscle stiffness in one of his rear legs, and all being well he should be back to full fitness and ready to run in the next couple of weeks.

Conservative has been in great form at home in recent weeks as he's been building up to his hurdles debut, doing plenty of schooling work over hurdles which he's taken to really well, so everyone is still very much looking forward to his first competitive run over obstacles.

Tune in to the video from David Stevens to find out more.
