It could be an exciting week for us all with Conservative as he has an entry at Wolverhampton at 20:00 on Thursday.

It is a class four handicap for horses rated 0-80 over 1m½f. Conservative has a rating of 77, so he would get in should we decide to declare on Tuesday morning.

I’ve also entered him in a couple of races at Doncaster on Sunday. The meeting at Doncaster is obviously on turf, which would not be a problem for him.

I am very happy with where Conservative is at now with his fitness. He is ready to go. I just want to make sure it is the right opportunity for him, and that involves studying these races in detail before we commit.

I am confident of a big run for him, so hopefully we can find a race where he can get his nose in front this time.
