WATCH: We're delighted to announce your fifth Coral Racing Club horse
We're therefore delighted to announce your latest recruit for the Coral Racing Club, Hey Day Baby, who cost £45,000 at the Goffs’ Tingle Creek Sale at Sandown Park on Saturday 3rd December.
Hey Day Baby is a striking four-year-old mare by top jump sire, Soldier Of Fortune, and is related to two nice horses, Mr Whipped and Verdana Blue. She won her latest Irish Point-to-Point at Turtulla, given a great ride from the front, and Jonjo is looking forward to training her for you all.
“She’s very straightforward and has settled in well. She’s like a kid on her first day at school, looking around, taking everything in. We’re not doing much with her at the moment, just some trotting and cantering, while she gets used to her new home, and we get to know her.”
“All being well we’d start stepping it up with the aim of getting her on the track in around six weeks’ time in a hurdles race, or maybe even a bumper. We’ll know what direction to take as we get to know her, but so far so good.”
We're looking forward to seeing what Hey Day Baby can show us in the coming weeks and months ahead, and hopefully she will give you all a lot of fun.
Very soon we'll be releasing the full video of that very evening at Goffs’ Tingle Creek Sale at Sandown Park to show you exactly how it all happened. Keep an eye out for a couple of familiar faces in and amongst the crowd who were also there that night.
