WATCH: Hey Day Baby declared for handicap debut at Southwell

Hey Day Baby
Hey Day Baby has been declared to run in the Class 5 Mares' Handicap Hurdle (16:30) over three miles at Southwell on Sunday.

Following her third run over hurdles in January, Hey Day Baby was given an opening handicap mark of 76, having only raced over two miles in her career under rules so far.

The decision was made to step her up to three miles for her handicap debut, as our mare proved that she could stay that trip when winning her maiden point-to-point race over that distance.

Jonjo O'Neill told us in his latest update that she would be given plenty of schooling after she had been awarded her handicap mark, and you can watch her latest piece of pleasing work on the gallops here.
