Hey Day Baby came out of her Plumpton race OK, it was obviously her first race after a long break, so it was no surprise that she really needed the run. 

Her jumping was a little bit disappointing though, even allowing for it being her first run back, so we’ll give her plenty of schooling at home before her next run.

It was also soft ground at Plumpton, which probably isn’t going to suit her in future either, so as well getting plenty of practice over hurdles into her, we’ll also wait for better ground before we run her again, so right now we don’t have any races in mind for her.

She’s been given an official handicap mark of 76, that’s clearly on the low side but reflects what she’s shown on the track so far, but hopefully it’s a case of the only way is up from here!
