As we explained in the last update, Hey Day Baby was just struggling to shake off the virus she’d picked up, but the good news this week is that we tested her blood again, and the results came back all clear, so hopefully she’s rid of it now.

She’s certainly much brighter in herself, and all being well, we will look to give her a gallop on Friday.

We have obviously lost a couple of weeks with her, but she has been on the horse-walker and we’ve been able to canter her, so if we can get a couple of good pieces of work into her, we will start looking for a race for her from next week.

The plan is still to start her off in a Mares’ bumper, and there is still plenty of time left in the season so all being well we would get her out a couple of times, which will tell us plenty more about her.
