Lady Mendoza could make it two runners in a few days for the Club
There’s a race at Carlisle on Monday 6th February we are looking at. The ground is currently soft there, so we’d need a dry week, but there aren’t many entries, so if it’s a race that completely cuts up, then it might turn into a good opportunity for us.
We are also considering a race at Market Rasen on Tuesday 7th February, but that’s an EBF qualifier race that’s worth quite a bit of money, so that might turn out to be pretty competitive. We’ll probably give her an entry though and track the declarations to see who’s likely to run.
The most suitable option might be the mares’ race at Southwell on Wednesday 8th February. They’ve had decent ground there recently, so if it stays dry over the next week or so, then I’d say that’s the more likely of the three options as it stands.
We’ll probably check her bloods and scope her over the next few days just to check her levels are good and make sure she’s in tip top condition to run next week. So all being well, I look forward to meeting the owners wherever she runs.
