Raceday LIVE Preview

Our magnificent seven-time winner Aspire To Glory is back in action this afternoon and we're ready to cheer our much-loved gelding every stride of the way as he lines up at Southwell!

Trained by Dylan Cunha in Newmarket, Aspire To Glory will once again be partnered by young apprentice Jake J Slawson, who receives a valuable 7lb allowance. Our boy carries 8st 13lb, races off an official mark of 50 and breaks from stall five in a competitive ten-runner field. With seven career victories already under his belt, Aspire To Glory has given Coral Racing Club members some unforgettable moments. His enthusiasm, battling spirit and willingness to give everything on the racecourse have made him a firm favourite and we're looking forward to seeing him back doing what he loves!

Some serious competition!

There's plenty of quality among this afternoon's opposition, with several runners arriving in winning form and others boasting valuable experience over Southwell's Tapeta surface. Burford Beauty looks one of the leading dangers for trainer Charlie Clover. The four-year-old arrives following an impressive victory over seven furlongs at Brighton earlier this month, when making a successful debut for her new yard. Jack Nicholls takes the ride as she bids to follow up under a 4lb higher handicap mark. Distillate is another rival demanding plenty of respect. The experienced six-year-old mare, trained in Ireland by Adrian McGuinness, struck over this very course and distance on Thursday and makes a swift return to action carrying a 5lb penalty. Connor Planas takes the reins as she looks to build on that recent success. Rosemary's Rose, representing Rod Millman, has been knocking on the door throughout the season. Twice successful over a mile on the all-weather earlier this year, the four-year-old arrives following a runner-up finish at Ffos Las and will be looking to turn her consistent performances into another victory under Jack Dace.

There's also Camera Shy to consider for Michael Dods. The four-year-old already has winning form over this course and distance and could be dangerous if rediscovering his best form under Rhys Elliott. Von Krolock, trained by James Owen, has enjoyed a productive year on the all-weather, recording three victories in 2026. The experienced seven-year-old is another capable of making his presence felt, while Call Glory brings further course-and-distance winning form into an intriguing line-up.

It's certainly no easy assignment for Aspire To Glory but our boy has proved time and again that he's capable of producing something special when he finds his rhythm.

Come on, Aspire To Glory!

Jake J Slawson returns to the saddle following his first-ever race ride aboard Aspire To Glory last week and we're delighted to continue supporting the young apprentice as he gains valuable experience in the sport. The hope this afternoon will be for Aspire To Glory to settle comfortably, travel strongly and have enough left in reserve to mount a challenge when the race begins to unfold. Our seven-time winner has already given us so many reasons to celebrate and there's nothing we'd love more than to see him enjoying himself out on the track and showing those wonderful battling qualities once again.

Whatever the result, we're immensely proud of our boy and everything he's achieved. His character, toughness and competitive spirit are exactly what make following racehorses such a rewarding experience.

We're wishing Aspire To Glory, Jake J Slawson and everyone at Dylan Cunha's yard the very best of luck this afternoon. Let's hear it for our boy!
