With the Coral Welsh Grand National only a week away, we sat down with Colin and Joe Tizzard to look back on the career of one of their great racehorses, Native River, who won the contest back in 2016.
Undoubtedly one of the heroes of Venn Farm Stables in his day, Native River won 14 of his 32 starts under rules and amassed over £1m in prize money.
His incredible career featured victories in the Mildmay Novices' Chase, the Hennesy Gold Cup, the Coral Welsh Grand National and of course his famous battling victory in the 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
