Follow all the build-up and live updates from the track ahead of the Lady Mendoza's handicap debut in the 14:50 at Newcastle.
RESULT: Lady Mendoza – 5th (13 ran)
In her first run since the beginning of February, Lady Mendoza bounced back with a solid run under Champion Jockey Brian Hughes finishing 5th in today's Mares' Handicap Hurdle.
She travelled well throughout and jumped nicely, but perhaps a step up in trip next time out will suit her more as Brian suggested in his post-race interview (below).
