Unfortunately West End Boy came down at the second last after he clipped the hurdle, but the good news is he was straight up onto his feet and trotting away.

After he was officially named by one of our Coral Racing Club members back in November, we headed to Venn Farm to speak to Amanda Hibbs who looks after West End Boy to find out more about his loving personality.

11:35 – A closer look at today's opposition
There are four previous winners in the field, including Authorised Speed for Gary Moore – a talented 6yo who went off as favourite for the Tolworth Hurdle in January which was won by Tahmuras who looks set to line up in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham next week, and is currently available at around 10/1.
Fever Dream is a debutante for Christian Williams who finished second in a Point-to-Point race last October and carries the same silks as the recent dramatic Eider Chase winner, Kitty's Light.
The Jane Williams team send Yggdrasil here as he reverts back to hurdles for the first time since October 2021 after struggling in three handicap chase contests towards the end of last year.

11:00 – West End Boy set to make his second appearance for the Coral Racing Club
His debut run over course and distance saw him finish 6th in a competitive novice hurdle won by Givega for the Gary Moore team.
Today Brendan Powell takes over in the saddle from Tom Cannon and we'll be looking to get some final pre-race words from the man himself, as well as Joe Tizzard, ahead of today's race.
