Lady Mendoza was just a little bit flat in her homework this week, and following such a strong reappearance run at Musselburgh, I didn’t want to run her again so soon if she wasn’t 100%, so we won’t be running her at Doncaster on Saturday.

Instead, we can give her a little bit more time between her races, we’re not talking about a long break, and it may be that this Doncaster race only came a week too soon, but as I think we learned last season, she goes best fresh, so we’ll sit tight for now.

There is a race at Catterick on Thursday January 11th that could suit her, while there are also some additional fixtures that have been added to the calendar because of the meetings that have been lost recently, so we’ll keep an eye on those for any other opportunities.
