I’m delighted to say that Lady Mendoza is back cantering as of this week which you can see in the latest video. She looks grand at the moment, so I’m really happy with her progress.

Some of our horses have come out of this sickness bug bouncing, and others have taken a bit more time, and I’d say she’s just needed that extra bit of recovery time to be honest.

We are going to continue to monitor her, and we won’t rush her and run her too quickly, but the signs are definitely promising. We have a handicap mark now which opens up plenty of options, so hopefully she’ll be ready to return to the track in a couple of weeks’ time.

There are a few nice races up North during Cheltenham week, so we’ll keep our eye on those, but I’d say they are very doable providing we don’t have any more setbacks.

We are still having plenty of horses hit the crossbar which is frustrating, but we had a winner at Newcastle last week which was good, so hopefully as the team recover from this sickness bug, we should be able to get some more winners on the board over the coming weeks.
