Lady Mendoza will not be running at either Wetherby or Newcastle on Boxing Day, but your mare has been given initial entries at Doncaster and Kelso on Thursday 29th December.

Rebecca Menzies gave us this latest update on her plans for Lady Mendoza:

“I was slightly concerned by the rain that was forecast for both Newcastle and Wetherby today [Friday], so we took the decision not to declare her for either. Also, there is some decent looking opposition in both races, and I was keen to wait and hopefully find a better – slightly easier! – option for her second race.

She’s in great form, and we are keen to get her out again soon, so we’ve given her entries in a 2 ½ miles Novices’ Hurdle at Doncaster next Thursday, and in a Novices’ Hurdle over 2m6f at Kelso on the same day.

We’ll keep an eye on the weather, and make up our mind nearer the time, but hopefully it won’t be too long before she takes up one of these entries.”
