Like all Flat trainers up and down the country, the weather has proved to be a big challenge over the last seven days.

We are fortunate in that we have an indoor school, so we have been able to keep working Rockstar Icon. Our indoor centre here at Whatcombe is a furlong in circumference and it is obviously a safe and calming environment for our horses to work whatever the weather. Rockstar Icon enjoys himself in there.

Since I last updated you, Rockstar Icon has lost a little weight, so that’s a positive sign, as it means he is conditioning well. We are still only trotting him at this stage, but it won’t be long before we step things up. Once the ground dries out, he will hopefully be ready to be tested over a faster pace.
