As a successful jockey, Christian rode over 100 winners for multiple champion trainer Paul Nicholls, including a perfect three from three on the Gold Cup winner Denman.
Following several serious injuries, Christian retired from the saddle to take up training, firstly as private trainer to leading National Hunt owner Dai Walters, before setting up on his own at Ogmore Farm in the Vale of Glamorgan.
His first major wins as a trainer came courtesy of Potters Corner in the Coral Welsh Grand National and Midlands National in 2019, while since then he has added big race victories to his CV with the likes of Cap Du Nord, Win My Wings and Kitty’s Light.
